People have been rock climbing recreationally in the UK for over 100 years. Climbing an outdoor crag or an indoor wall, the thrills and skills are very similar. Climbing is not about strength, it's about self-discovery. Bouldering is a fast moving activity, exciting in its own right and an excellent introduction to climbing. A combination of fun, challenge and exploration as you negotiate the sandstone tunnels, gullies and boulders. Abseiling was invented by rock climbers as a means of descending a rock face when there was no other way down. It is now one of our most popular activities, in its own right - for fun, challenge or charity fund-raising down a wall, purpose-built tower or building near you. |
